Lapel Pins
Stellar offers a wide variety of lapel pins.
Printed lapel pins are produced by silk screening directly onto brass or stainless steel and are ideal for designs that have fine detail. Silk screening allows registration of colors without the need to separate colors with metal walls. Offset printing (4 color process) is perfect for designs that incorporate gradients or drop shadows. A protective epoxy coating is applied to seal the design and protect it from scratching.
Etched soft enamel lapel pin. Photo etched pins are made by using an acid reaction process. A design is chemically etched onto a sheet of solid brass creating raised and recessed areas. The recessed areas are then color filled with soft enamel colors. The etching process allows for high definition of lettering and design, with colors separated by metal lines. It’s an excellent choice for intricate or complex designs.
Die struck copper or brass without any color fill use the same procedure as hard enamel and imitation hard enamel lapel pins, but are not filled with any enamel colors. Without color fill there are a variety of finishing options such as sandblasting, foggy painting, two tone (gold & nickel), antique, stain or matte effects, and different texture background choices. Die struck pins can have a classic, aged look or sparkle like a shiny new penny!
Authentic cloisonné is an ancient Chinese process using ground, colored glass that can be opaque or translucent. Each color is hand filled into the recesses of a metal stamping, fired in an oven at 1600°F to harden, polished to a high gloss and then finished with a Gold, Nickel/Silver, or black plating resulting in an exquisite piece of jewelry. Colors are limited in this process.
Hard enamel cloisonné lapel pins are also known as imitation cloisonné. These die-struck hard enamel lapel pins are available in custom shapes and sizes. Brilliant colored enamel resin is used for PMS color matching that gives you choices of over 1,000 Pantone colors. Metal plating color choices are gold, silver, copper, and black nickel. Each lapel pin is hand finished, polished and plated to reveal a glassy smooth jewelry-like finish.
When the appearance of fine jewelry is desired, add a two-tone look using a recessed sandblast finish. Add a soft enamel color fill to highlight even more detail. With their jewelry-like look, custom shapes, and great perceived value, sandblast lapel pins are an excellent choice for a quality lapel pin.
